Single malt whisky producers, Glenfiddich have always been at the forefront of whisky marketing and production. They were the first Scotch whisky producers to market single malts in a box or tin. They also have their iconic triangle shaped bottle. So it comes as no surprise that Glenfiddich will also be at the forefront of online marketing. This is what they’ve done with their new site Glenfiddichgallery.com.
Recently we wrote about the company, Purple Creative, behind their new design (click here to see the post). They have now showcased all the design features, which also give Glenfiddich single malt whisky buyers the chance to customise their own whiskies.
The website give people the chance to explore their palate. This is done by answering questions from Glenfiddich malt master, Brian Kinsman, and then whiskies are matched to each persons unique profile.
You can find on the website some of the rarest single malt Glenfiddich whiskies. It’s not cheap – prices ranging from £390 to £100,000. But all buyers get a treat. The most expensive being a 56 year old whisky with only three bottles available in the world.
Global marketing manager, Sarah Macaulay said: “This is an exciting new direction for Glenfiddich and the perfect place to showcase our new visual identity and elevate the brand into the luxury sector.” She described the new website as a “revolutionary place to buy rare malts and create your own bespoke packaging”.
