Scotch whisky giants, Glenfiddich have redesigned their iconic bottle shape for their 12-year-old and 15-year-old whiskies. The new look Glenfiddich bottles are no longer triangular-shaped but are a traditional round type of whisky bottle.
Glenfiddich has also renamed the bottles by incorporating the word “our” in the title. The new names are:
- Our Original Twelve
- Our Solera Fifteen
However, sticking to tradition, the Glenfiddich owners have kept the iconic stag symbol and William Grant’s and Son classic signature.

So, will the drastic move by the family-owned distillery in Dufftown? Of course, only time will tell. However, the distillers hope that their classic Speyside single malts in their sleek new design will sit alongside other whisky bottles and give them a run for their money.
Why Glenfiddich Changed their Bottle Design
So, why did Glenfiddich change their bottle design? Representatives from Glenfiddich hope that the new bottle design will emphasise the unique place that Speyside Glenfiddich whisky has. Much thought has gone into making sure that elements on the bottle reflect the origins of this much-loved single malt Scotch whisky.

Therefore, it seems that Glenfiddich Scotch whisky is continuing to do what they always do best. Showing innovation in the whisky industry and looking ahead to the future.
The Price of Glenfiddich Scotch Whisky 12 and 15-Year Old Whisky
Even though much thought and investment have gone into redesigning the Glenfiddich whisky bottle shape, there are no plans to change the price.
For example, at the Whisky Exchange, the price of a 12-year old bottle of Glenfiddich is around €36 and the Glenfiddich Solera (15-yr-old) is €47.

The Speyside distillers also continue to innovate with new releases every year. Glenfiddich has released a special limited edition 30-year-old single malt to celebrate 50 years of their visitor centre. However, you can’t buy the single malt online but will have to visit the visitor’s centre. The price of this Glenfiddich whisky is £1,600 per bottle.
