- Islay single malt whisky distillers, Ardbeg create a whisky vapour.
- It’s created in a special carafe.
- Special droplets in the carafe turn the whisky to vapour when vibrated.
Always looking to come up with something new, single malt whisky makers – Ardbeg have produced the first whisky vapour.
The special mist is whisky that has been transformed into a vapour that still has enough alchol to put you over the drink-driving limit!
Ardbeg is a whisky distiller from the Islay region of Scotland. The vapour is produced when single malt whisky is poured into a special vibrating crystal carafe. This creates ultrasonic pressure wave which then turn the whisky into micro-size droplets.
They have called this the Ardbeg Haar. Haar is a Scottish word for sea mist. So it appropriate that it’s produced by an Islay whisky distiller because haar is a part of everyday life in the islands.
The specially designed carafes have a cover on them. This keeps the mist in for as long as possible.
This, though, hasn’t been designed for use in the home. It will be used in various bars in the UK. So far 4 bars will be offering these cocktails. This will give a unique twist to whisky cocktails and to cocktails in general.
An Ardbeg spokesman said that the Ardbeg Haar will intrique people, immersing them in the aromas of Islay single malt whisky. They will get the tastes and textures of this single malt whisky in a way that has never been experienced before.
